Domaine Félines Jourdan Garance Rosé

Delicious, Smooth and Fruity Rosé
It has been estimated that about 40% by volume of all wine produced in France originates in Languedoc-Roussillon. Consequently, William-Harrison has been particularly judicious and unusually selective in choosing the best wines from the best producers in their respective local areas and appellations. The remarkable and distinctive landscape of the Languedoc is a vast sea of vines reflecting different shades of green. The vines push back the borders of the scrub-covered landscape and compete for space even with holiday beaches and the towns and villages.Despite being the largest producer, they suffered through the fifties with a poor reputation. With the advent of modern technology and the stewardship of people like Ms. Claude Jourdan, many of the local wines are better than they ever have been and continue to improve. An added benefit for the consumer is that many of these vineyards were paid off decades or generations ago. So, unlike California, they are not paying top dollar for coastal land and are not having to recoup that enormous investment by charging the consumer for it. Better wine, less money!

This delicious rose is made from 75% Grenache and 25% Cinsault, just like most Tavel Rosés. This is just about as delicious, but at half the price!A fresh, red fruit nose and round body with a long, crisp finish. Try this with your best picnic fare or just by itself on the deckor on the blanket.

These rosés are particularly good with a variety of foods, especially the summer ones with mayonnaise, pickles, vinaigrettes, or some spice.
